Shinto and its Architecture: Kawase Hasui

Kawase Hasui designed twelve woodblock prints as illustrations for the book, Shinto and its Architecture, written by Akiyama Aisaburo. The first edition of this book was published in 1936 by the Tokyo News Service. It was reprinted in a second edition in 1955. The prints, which measure 5 x 7 inches each, are often removed from the book and resold individually.
